In a nutshell...
Beach Review was designed with a multitude of purposes in mind; but most importantly for its ability to connect people, who wouldn’t normally have a chance to meet each other, and facilitate the sharing of ideas and collaboration. Hence:
Community Networking. We have high aspirations for this site. Over time it will evolve and morph into something special. For now, we would like to help the Beach Community Achieve the following Goals…
1) Promote local networks of interdependence by encouraging people to shop in the local community. This has a two fold benefit - it helps us build a stronger more prosperous community and reduces the carbon footprint as people don’t use their cars as much.
2) Make business accountable to the community and the community accountable to local businesses.
3) Empower Small Business Owners with the Know-how and tools to Market themselves with minimal costs, allowing them to grow their business and meet the needs of the community simultaneously. The
Three E's: Education(What's New, what works),
Empowerment(Tools/Techniques),
Elevation(Goal Setting).
4) Mediate relations between local businesses and customers by intercepting unfavorable feed back. We want to give businesses the opportunity to resolve customer complaints and help turn a negative experience into a positive one.
5) We offer an interactive online forum where opinions and attitudes of the community can be shared; a place where different ideas can be exchanged.
Bottom line: Our Vision is that this site can help forge new relationships and improve existing ones. As it stands, this is not a money making venture for the creators. Someday we might offer local businesses the chance to advertise but right now we just want to
help strengthen the community we’ve come to love.
